| Shortly after the foundation’s 2009 annual meeting, Mr. Jet Li, the founder of One Foundation was invited to attend the SPEC SME Summit in Singapore.
The summit, co-hosted by APEC Business Advisory Council and Singapore Business Federation drew dignitaries such as President of Alibaba Group Mr. Mayu, PCCW Chairman Mr. Richard Li, UPS Chairman Scott Davis and Google Enterprise Head Mr. Dave Girouard.
Featuring Thriving in Turbulent Markets, the summit invited Mr. Jet Li to deliver a speech. Headlined Start Small and Win Big, the speech was presented in English. Mr. Li reviewed One Foundation’s transcendence from an ideal of “1+1+1=1” to a comprehensive philanthropic platform. He said the small bits of support from each family member added up to the foundation’s big achievements. In the past two years, One Foundation stuck to the small approach and won recognition and support from governments, business communities, Media circles and the world of academia.
