| One Foundation Annual Report:
1. By Apr. 15, 2008, One Foundation has raised 10,677,226.87 RMB.
◎ Via bank / postal remittance: 9,952,536.90 RMB.
◎ Via mobile SMS to 1069 999 309: 648,287 RMB.
◎ Overseas donation via PAYPAL: 6,590.04 US dollars (46,130.28 RMB)
◎ Via tencent.com: 30,272.69 RMB.
2. By Apr. 15, 2008, fund allocated: 2,300,000 RMB.
◎ On June 4, 2007, One Foundation allocated 100,000 RMB for earthquake relief in Puer, Yunnan Province. The fund was directly allocated to the Red Cross Society of Yunnan Province for the purchase of 33.33 tons of rice. 14.25 tons were sent to Manlian village, Ninger town, the other 18.08 tons were allocated to Taida village. Total number of beneficiaries reached 2,222.
◎ On July 15, 2007, One Foundation allocated one million RMB for sunshine of heart & soul caring center and psychological intervention project. 58,000 RMB was used for the establishment of r sunshine of heart & soul caring centers in 58 Chinese universities. 42,000 RMB was used for psychological intervention project aimed at training 4,800 psychological intervention volunteers.
◎ On July 22, 2007, One Foundation allocated 100,000 RMB to fight flood in Shandong province. The fund was directly transferred to Red Cross in Binzhou city for the purchase of 32.9 tons of rice. The rice was distributed in 7 most severely affected counties including Sunwu, Hefang, Shimiao, Xindian, Weiji, Danianchen and Qinghe. 2,331 people in 78 villages received the rice.
◎ On Jan. 29, 2008, One Foundation allocated 950,000 RMB and another 150,000 RMB on Feb. 2, 2008 for snowstorm relief in 17 provinces.
Latest in the fourth quarter:
◎ From Feb. 1 to 5, One Foundation worked with Sohu.com and 15 radio stations around the nation and launched a series of public service announcements titled “Warmth and Family amidst the Cold” to express people’s support and inspiration for those who were in need over the airwaves, cheering everyone on. Over 50 One Foundation celebrity volunteers and kindhearted participants delivered their support and inspirational words for drivers and passengers stranded in the snowstorm.
◎ On Mar. 5, 2008, One Foundation formed strategic partnership with HY Brothers. In the coming ten years, HY Brothers is going to donate part of its box office of movies in which HY Brothers being the primary investor to One Foundation. Each ticket sold generates 0.1 RMB donation. The partnership started from the movie The Forbidden Kingdom. Apart from HY Brother’s donation, four theater chains including New Film Association, China Film Stellar Theater Chain, Shanghai United Circuit and Beijing Wanda Film. For each ticket sold of the movie The Forbidden Kingdom, the four theater chains donates 0.01 RMB to One Foundation. The partnership created a new model for integration of philanthropy and business.
◎On Mar. 15, US Major League Baseball intended to donate 10,000 US dollars to One Foundation on its first trip to China. During the trip, MLB announced plans to work with One Foundation for all-out philanthropic efforts in China. This is the second major international cooperation after One Foundation’s partnership with NBA.
◎ On Mar. 24, 2008, the 2008 World Snooker China Open was held in Beijing. As the sole organizer of the event, The International Sports Co., Ltd announced a plan to work with One Foundation. For each ticket sold, the company will donate 1 RMB to One Foundation’s philanthropic cause. 7 events are going to be held starting from 2008.
◎ On Apr. 11, Boao Forum for Asia and Jet Li foundation announced a plan to launch China Global Philanthropy Forum. The forum will be held every December in Beijing. China Global Philanthropy Forum will create a platform of dialogue between Chinese NGOs and major economic entities, NGOs and grass-root organizations around the globe. |
