On October 29, 2010, Trends Home Magazine donated RMB 253,957.13 through One Foundation to its Children’s Home in Yushu County of Qinghai Province to support the construction work.

        Children’s Home Project is one of the foundation’s major disaster-relief projects in Yushu. It aims to provide education opportunity to poverty-stricken children in the disaster affected area, and to improve the education quality of the area. After its establishment, One Foundation Children’s Home will provide daytime care and education to at least 100 children from poverty-stricken families in the area each year, become those children’s new home, and provide them pre-school education on expression, imagination and operating ability. Meanwhile, Children’s Home will carry out education on traditional culture to help children of different ethnic backgrounds to easily adapt to the current educational system when they enter primary school. In addition, Children’s Home will also serve as education and training base which provides professional pre-school education training to teachers from remote areas of Yushu County, so as to lift the pre-school education quality of Yushu.

        Trends Home Magazine designed and produced four household products, and held a Love Charity Sales on June 9 this year to sell the products. After understanding the goals of One Foundation Children’s Home Project, Trends Home Magazine decided to donate the entire charity sales profit to the project in order to provide better care and education to poverty-stricken children and teenagers in the disaster affected area.
