One Foundation Green Home Project was officially initiated in April 2009. As of February, 2011, houses for more than 560 households had been built thanks to the support from Shifang government and all sectors of the society. Auxiliary facilities in the new village had also been completed, including roads, greening, sewage treatment and brooks in village.
The rebuilt Yujiang Village highlighted the meaning of the “Fish Culture”, and emphasized the planning and design philosophy that focused on environmental friendliness, economy, practicality, and local characteristics.

Progressive building structure, arable land in the front and at the back of the houses, crisscrossing brooks in the village, heat-insulating bricks, and sewage treatment facility at the far end of the village…, everything in the new Yujiang Village is an embodiment of the Green Culture.

In addition to village planning, awareness and thinking of the villagers as the village masters were also focus of the project. During project implementation, trainings of different populations were interleaved, including trainings about environmental protection, progressive house reconstruction, attention to women and children, as well as social science issues, the objective of which was to give Yujiang villagers not only new houses, but also new thinking and culture.

The reconstruction of Yujiang Village also received attention and recognition from government departments and international organizations.
 Leaders from Beijing Municipality and Sichuan Province visited Yujiang Village.
 CCP secretary of Yujiang Village shared post-disaster reconstruction experience with members of international organizations.
The house allocation plan was under review in March 2011. The moment of dream coming true is closer and closer to the eager villagers. As the project’s executives, we are looking forward to the villagers’ smile when they move into new houses.
