On April 17th, the Red Cross Society of China Jet Li One Foundation Project held its one year anniversary press conference at the China Millennium Monument. One Foundation founder Jet Li, along with the One Foundation team, introduced its first year story and announced the first group of official volunteers to media and guests.

Looking back the first year of One Foundation:

At the starting ceremony in 2007, Jet Li spoke of why he began One Foundation. One year later, One Foundation consists of 13-person full-time staf. The press conference announced the One Foundation annual report. Up to April 15th, 2008, One Foundation raised 10,677,226.87 RMB in total. Among them, donation through SMS 1069-999309 was 648,287 RMB.

There are four payouts from One Foundation last year, totaling RMB 2.3 million. They were: 1. 100,000 RMB for Yunnan Puer earthquake. 2. 100,000 RMB for Shandong waterlog disaster. 3. 1 million RMB for “Sunshine in Your Heart” project which consists of two annual projects “Sunshine in Your Heart Center” and “Mentality Crisis Prevent Project.” 4. 1.1 million RMB to relieve the victims of North snow disaster in 17 provinces and areas.

One Foundation aim is to create a new charity model that directly unites enterprises and philantrophy. Recently, One Foundation reached strategic parternership with Huayi Brothers Group. In the next ten years, Huayi Brothers will donate domestic box-office income from its investment-controlled films, that means, Hua Yi Brother Group will donate ten cents RMB per film ticket from Huayi controlled films directly to One Foundation.

New Stratagem Announced

In the Boao Asian Forum, Jet Lee’s One Foundation and Boao Asian Forum co-announced the establishment of “International Philanthropy Forum”. It marks the beginning of the One Foundation strategy. One Foundation Executive Chairman Amy Zhou introduced new strategies, future development and directions.

One Foundation’s new strategy is based on the “One+One+One=One” core idea in order to set up a platform for public promotion and international communication to promote charity culture and idea and push global charity development and public charity industry’s continuous development.

Based on One Foundation’s platform and marketing research, Amy Zhou announced that One Foundation’s goals will be actualized through the “International Philanthropy Forum” and “One Foundation Charity Award”.
