| 1. 2009/1/9. WI Harper Group and Jet Li One Foundation held 2009 New Year Philanthropy Concert in Beijing State Guest House, China. Fund raised by spot auction and donation have been transferred to One Foundation for its cause.
2. 2009/1/15. The First newspaper held a philanthropy auction. Celebrities from sports circle and arts have donated their belongings for the auction. The fund raised has been transferred to One Foundation for post quake reconstruction.
3. 2009/1/23. Under the help of over 1,000 taobao.com users and other family members, One Foundation managed to purchase 9,372 packages of new year present and distributed them to makeshift settlements in quake affected areas in Sichuan, two days before the Chinese new year’s eve. Meanwhile, One Foundation delivered 12,000 quilts, donated by DELOITTE TOUCHE TOHMATSU CPA Ltd., to 19 villagers in Sichuan from Jan.17 to 22.
4. 2009/1/31. Jet Li, the founder of One Foundation received World Economic Forum’s Crystal Award from Mr. Klaus Schwab, the Forum’s founder in Davos, Switzerland. The award was established in 1995 by the Forum to honor artists who have extraordinary artistic achievements and have used their public influence to help the international community. This award was given to Jet Li because he has founded the One Foundation, and had been publicizing the charitable culture and promoting the public welfare efforts.

5. Feb. 2009. One Foundation founder Mr. Jet Li attended the launching ceremony of the first Flagship Barbie House.. As Barbie’s philanthropic partner, Mr. Jet Li attended the opening ceremony and cut the ribbons with Barbie’s global senior vice president Mr. Richard Dickson and Mattel's vice-president for international business development Mr. Gene Murtha. For each customer entering Barbie’s Shanghai House, Mattel will donate 1 RMB to help One Foundation in its cause.
6. 2009/2/23-24.One Foundation held the first media salon in 2009, inviting representatives from over 10 mass media. The salon visited Tianjin Hetong Aged People Welfare Association, Beijing Fengtai Lizhi Rehabilitation Center and other 2008 One Foundation Philanthropy Award winners and studied their process of fund usage. The participants of the salon also exchanged ideas over planning and execution of the philanthropy award.
7. 2009/3/7. One Foundation Shanghai Office held the first charity salon in 2009, inviting business professionals and media friends to share touching stories in One Foundation’s Qiang Embroidery Aid Project in Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Region. The participants raised suggestions for project development in the long run. One Foundation is going to host similar salons to provide a platform of philanthropic sharing among family members.
8. Mar. 2009. Shanghai Jingmao Communications, Ltd. Joined One Foundation Family as its promotional partner. The company donated its cinema advertisement to the foundation since The Dragon Ball and Slum Dog Millionaire, to help better promote One Foundation’s charitable culture.
9. Mar. 2009. China Development Brief joined One Foundation’s cause as its charity partner, providing free electronic issues of China Development Brief and mobile information services.
10. 2009/3/25. One Foundation founder Mr. Jet Li had a brief meeting with former British Prime Minister Mr. Tony Blair and signed a cooperation agreement with The Climate Group. The Climate Group is an international independent non-profit organization dedicated to greenhouse emission reduction, combating global warming, developing leadership for government agencies and businesses against climate change. Currently, the organization has set up offices in London, New York, Auckland as well as Melbourne. Since founding, One Foundation’s five pillars of focus have been: disaster relief, education, health, environment, and poverty. Environment has always been one of the foundation’s top concerns. Last November, in the 2008 China Global Philanthropy Forum, Li had a pleasant talk with Blair. This time, the cooperation between One Foundation and The Climate Group will pave the way for future collaborations between China and the rest of the world.
11. 2009/3/28. Mr. Jet Li, Founder of One Foundation won “You Bring Charm to the World Award(2008)” for his outstanding contribution in the field of public affairs.
12. 2009/3/31. One Foundation released its commemorative stamp in Shanghai with the help of our family members. The set of stamps, with One Foundation’s ideals, attracted the attention and participation of many caring companies. Touchmedia undertake the planning, publishing, sales and even promotion of the stamp, in an effort to better spread the foundation’s ideals. IGPC is responsible for production and publication while Daphne assigns over 2000 of its outlets nationwide as the exclusive store for the set of stamps.
Sichuan Post Quake Reconstruction Projects
Education
1. One Foundation Green Primary School. The school occupies an area of 6482.4 m² with gross floor area of 4409.04 m². The project is designed under considerations for local Qiang culture, climate as well as environment. Original building language and sign system have been conserved, with added green ingredients. The school will become an eco friendly, energy efficient and recyclable pioneer. One Foundation will provide half of the funding for the project and conduct all along supervision. The project is currently underway.
2. One Foundation Children Welfare Institute in Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Region. Gross floor area reached 6013 m². One Foundation and local government will provide funding for the project. The institute will become a children welfare organization, capable of providing foster, recovery, education and special training services. The project was launched in Mar. 15.
3. One Foundation Longtai Washroom Project. Junior School of Longtai Township, Zhongjiang County has 1,340 students and over 60 teachers. Teaching facilities including washrooms have been seriously crippled in the earthquake. One Foundation has initiated bidding for a project to build more washrooms.
4. One Foundation Children Home in Sanjiang. Progress: Formed professional psychological support team for children. Formed expert network. Established three Children Homes. 400 direct beneficiaries, 2,860 indirect beneficiaries. Over 400 children and 160 parents and teachers received psychological intervention and guidance. They have shown various extents of recovery. Trained 26 volunteers with various knowledge and skills. Children Perform Team achieved sustainable and healthy development. The project has gone into its second phase.
5. One Foundation Qingchuan Education Project. 5.12 earthquake has made poverty stricken Qingchuan one of the most severely hit areas. The quake shattered buildings and teachers’ physical, mental and economic wellbeing. To help local teachers getting back to their work, One Foundation and Alibaba.com joined hands to fund them. There are 593 beneficiaries and the project is underway.
Environmental Projects
6. One Foundation Gradual Housing Project. The project is located in Yujiang village, Luoshui county of Shifang city. The village has 633 households and 1,779 villagers. The project is based on the household contract responsibility system, adding eco-designs and is in the form of villager participation, aims to develop village-level self-governance to promote reconstruction. The project has finished bidding and is going into implementation phase.
7. Trash separation & compression unit in Pengzhou. Tetra Pak Beijing, Co, Ltd donated the funds for this project. The working team is comprised of staff from One Foundation project office, Tetra Pak Beijing and Pengzhou City Appearance and Environmental Sanitation Administrative Bureau. The project has entered bidding phase.
Poverty Alleviation
8. One Foundation IT Reconstruction and Technological Poverty Alleviation Project. One Foundation donated a whole set of satellite broadband, projector, wireless AP, switches, computer, physical network and one year internet access fee to over 30 remote and obstructed towns in Sichuan. These equipment and internet access will be used to conduct rural livelihood resumption training, compile 5.12 livelihood resumption ability pamphlet as well as make plans for household development. The project will build credibility profile for villager training. One Foundation hopes this will provide valuable reference for post disaster loans. Other than that, the project will provide emergency communication support, information poverty alleviation and guide technological self-dependence. The project has finished hardware composition and made a curriculum for villager training. The execution framework has been completed and example sub-projects are under planning.
9. Qiang Embroidery Aid Project in Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Region. The project is a long-term and consistent effort for reconstruction and folk culture preservation. It is executed in Wen, Li and Mao county in Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Region. The project aims to help women in Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Region and other severely affected areas to receive embroidery training and attain alternative livelihood. 30,000 women are expected to be involved in the project by 2017. 10,000 are expected to be employed by the end of 2017. The 2009 goal of the project is to train 2,000 embroidery workers by the end of the year. If the planned sales target of 4.7 million RMB can be reached, 660 households will become financially self-independent (incremental revenue target: 1,000 per household).
10. Cancellation of One Foundation Small Loans Project in Qingchuan. Due to the uncertainties of natural disaster and uncontrollable factors in technical guidance, interest subsidies can not help peasants increase income. On the contrary, in some cases, it aggravated their burden. In terms of execution, the lack of unified business standards and financial complexity has made it unfeasible. Therefore, after thorough investigation, analysis and discussion, One Foundation decided to cancel the project. The fund of the original project will be reallocated to other reconstruction projects in Sichuan.
