to the Gallery and enjoyed dancing performed by students from Xingyu’s
mixed classes. He also shared his story setting up the Dafu Fund with
presenting audiences and media. Wen called for more public attention to
children suffering from autism and a more tolerant and equal
environment.
“My experience with autistic children allowed me to find
exceptional
sensitivity and creativity in them. Perhaps this is because they are
often shut
away from the rest of the world. That’s why you can’t directly
intervene, or it will cause more problems. So we think, why don’t we
start from their artistic gifts, so more can be drawn to notice the
group suffering from autism, understand autism and treat autistic kids
with
more equality? ”Wen said frankly that “for a celebrity, doing
philanthropy may encounter many difficulties.
Although the road ahead is long, a promising future is beckoning. The
cause
needs everyone’s support.”
The event called for more participation
into helping autistic children through guitar auction and an art exhibition.
This way the children may gradually overcome their mental barriers and embrace
a brighter future.
